About Us

Don McBroom, President of Champion Custom Homes, has personally supervised the construction of every home he has built for over 23 years. Don began his building career, after graduating from college in Abilene, working as a superintendent for his father-in-law. The lessons learned from his father-in-law and access to his tradesman proved to be very valuable. Don has subcontractors that have been in the business for 40 years. Don says his subcontractors are more like family than employees sometimes. His loyalty to them has given him a loyal group of sub-contractors who know what he expects and the high quality he demands and ultimately results in a home of excellent quality. Don strives to make every client proud of the home they are investing in.

Don's sales manager, Gary Maxfield, has worked with him for 10 years.   Gary is a man of integrity.  He is fun to work with while you are designing and planning your dream home.  You won't just purchase a home, you will also be making a friend.
